No, I’m not referring to the recent legalisation of ‘pot’ in Colorado, although you might want to drop by TBS on Tuesday to read Alex Gillis’ piece on the ‘War on Drugs’ for a viewpoint on the issue more generally.
I’m talking of The Big Smoke, of course, and changes you will see as we bounce into 2014.
There will be some more editorial from Alexandra and myself (I promise it will be interesting and sexy and insightful and engaging and etc…mostly…hopefully…definitely…) so that you know we are, in fact, human beings and not some automated ‘publishbots’…I know, of course, you weren’t thinking that, but just in case…
Every Friday there will be a weekly column to bring a bit of levity to the end of the working week…lips zipped about what it is, so swing by TBS and take a look under ‘The Day’ on Friday to see what I’m talking about.
There will also be new writers coming on board (and to all you readers who are aspiring writers, we want to encourage you to join our community – we’re always open to writers joining the TBS flock – check out our ‘Write for us‘ page for more info) PLUS plenty more from the wicked word-smiths we already have plying their word-ly trade for TBS.
You can expect some other initiatives also, but I won’t go into that right now. Stay tuned.
I’d rather tell you about the upcoming week on TBS!
Today we have author, ex-Big Brother host and TV personality Gretel Killeen‘s easy-to-read, thought-provoking take on wisdom and growing older. It’s a light-hearted way to kick of the week and I’m sure you’ll chuckle or find yourself smiling knowingly at Gretel’s ‘wise’ words.
During the week you’ll see articles from a range of new writers to TBS on topics as diverse as media balance, tattooing and, as mentioned above, the war on drugs, to name a few.
And you will be treated to a few more laffs from our resident stand-up comedian (and author!) Xavier Toby as he reflects on New Years Eve’s past.
Enjoy – and keep enjoying in the weeks, months and years ahead!
