Hi, Mitra! Your Instagram pics are fabulous. If, for whatever reason, you could only save three, which three would you save?

Thank you! Well, every single one of my photos takes me back to the time and place they were taken and brings back a flood of memories and emotions around what I was going through at that point. So it’s hard for me to pick only three. But if I had to, I’d go with the following:

This picture makes me smile every time I look at it. I love the lighting and colors, and also had a lot of fun whipping it up and decorating it.

This photo is special to me since I made these mini tarts for my family and it brings back a lot of great memories around the time they were visiting.

This picture is one of my early photos that received quite a bit of attention and got me all excited and even more serious about Instagramming every single day. It is very special to me because it reminds me of where I started from and how I continue to learn and grow each and every day.

 

Getting to this point: Can you please tell our readers a little bit about yourself and how @NutriHolist came to be?

I’m a registered holistic nutritionist with a background in computer science. I started this account a few months after I finished nutrition school, to inspire people to eat clean and include more whole and plant-based foods in their diet. I mostly document things I eat or drink every day like smoothies, snacks or meals, along with simple recipes and nutritional information. I try to make my food look fun and pretty to show people that healthy food doesn’t have to be boring or unappetising, and can be very easy and quick to prepare at the same time.

 

InstaMoments: What do you think is the main driver to people coming to @NutriHolist daily and following you?

My main goal is to inspire people to eat healthier – and, gladly, that is the feedback I have been getting from my followers repeatedly. I often hear that people like the nutritional information I provide, the variety and simplicity of my recipes, and how they contain minimal ingredients and directions, making it easy for anyone to follow.

 

InstaStories: What is the main story you like to tell through your images?

I like to show people that healthy food can be fun and exciting and to spread positivity through vibrant shots and encouraging words, because I feel we all need more of it in our lives 😉

 

InstaFans: What is the worst way for someone to try and get your attention on Instagram, and what is the best way?

I always cringe when I get comments from people I don’t know asking me to follow them. I feel that’s the worst way to try to grow your account. Instead I like making real and meaningful connections with people, showing support and leaving thoughtful comments frequently. That is the best way to get my attention indeed! Oh and of course I love it when people recreate my recipes and share them with me.

That’s the biggest compliment I could get!
