A couple, living in a permanent travel lifestyle; the minds behind @timeoutsociety endeavour to kickstart your travel bug. Or FOMO.
Hi, guys! Your Instagram pics are fabulous. If for whatever reason you could only save three, which three would you save?
Can you please tell The Big Smoke readers a little bit about yourself and how @TimeOutSociety came to be?
It all began when I met my partner, Ben, when we first began traveling in Australia. I am American and Ben is German. We both took the chance to leave our homes to explore the world and we luckily found each other. Three years later, we are still living a permanent traveling lifestyle constantly booking flights to spend time together chasing our passion to see the world. We created our Instagram in order to encourage others to pack their bags and travel!
InstaMoments: What do you think is the main driver to people coming to @TimeOutSociety daily and following you?
Our aim is to capture life through every angle. When you look at our photos we hope to awaken your travel bug and make you smile. When you see photos of places you have always wanted to go to, and are also able to read about another person’s experience, this encourages you to try to see the place yourself! We ask our community to share their experiences through using the hashtag #TimeOutSociety which has over 120,000 posts. Also, our page is great for those who like to connect with talented photographers and travellers from around the world. We have another hashtag called #TravelerOfTheWeek where we select a traveller and feature their photo and story on our page.
InstaStories: What is the main story you like to tell through @TimeOutSociety?
Our stories are diverse and relate to people’s experiences traveling, what they have seen along the way, or how they found the place they took the photo of.
InstaFans: What is the worst way for someone to try and get your attention on Instagram, and what is the best way?
We reach over 4 million people a month through our Instagram accounts. It is very easy to contact me since I am always staying connected. The best way to reach me is through email [email protected] or through Direct Messaging me on my personal account @BookedPackedAbroad. I welcome you to follow me on my personal account to enter in weekly giveaways I host and to see my own photos about my life!
