In a substantial move, lawmakers in the ACT will now recognise the feelings of animals in future legal rulings.
Bronwyn is a PhD candidate with the University of Sydney investigating the health and welfare of hunting dogs in Australia. She is also a shelter veterinarian with RSPCA ACT and until recently was the Scientific Officer for Companion Animals at RSPCA Australia. She has a Master of Science degree majoring in Animal Welfare, Ethics and Law and has Memberships with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Animal Welfare. Bronwyn also sits on the board, and volunteers with, Pets in the Park Canberra - a veterinary charity which supports pets of the homeless.
