Ahead of the Sydney Writer’s Fest, we tasked Stella Award-winning author Heather Rose to share the books that provoked, inspired and challenged her.
Heather Rose is the Australian author of seven novels including The Museum of Modern Love which in 2017 won the Stella Prize, the Christina Stead Prize and the Margaret Scott Prize. Heather also writes for children under the pen-name Angelica Banks with Danielle Wood. The series has been shortlisted for best children’s fantasy in the Aurealis Awards. Both Heather and Angelica Banks are published internationally. Heather received an Australia Council grant in 2017 to write her eighth novel. She lives by the sea in Tasmania.
