Dr Michael Loughlin is a microbiology lecturer who studies how exposure to disinfectants can lead to antibiotic resistance in healthcare associated bacteria. He is the Course Leader for Forensic Biology, Module Leader for the undergraduate modules Microbial Metabolism and Genetics and The Microbial World and Module Leader for the MSc module Biological Systems. he is the Chair of the Course Leaders forum, and a member of the Tutorial, Assessment and Blended Learning working groups and Co-organiser of Annual 6th Form Biosciences Conference.
