Meet a Founder introduces us to Nicholas Wood of Political Tours, who discusses how to make worldwide politics interesting for people of all backgrounds, and why he feels everybody should take a Political Tour at least once.
Nicholas Wood set up Political Tours in 2011 creating the first travel company in the world to specialise in politics and current affairs. Before setting up Political Tours he was the New York Times Correspondent for the Balkans from 2003-2008. He has also worked for the BBC, The Guardian, The Observer, The Washington Post and CBS’s 60 Minutes. Links to his work can be found on The New York Times website. He was named as one of Conde Nast’s Top Travel Specialists for two years running the last two years the awards were given. He lived and worked in Kosovo between 1999 and 2004, before moving to Slovenia. He returned to the UK in 2009.
